I'm an interior architect based in Zurich.
I moved to Switzerland three years ago. Like most expats, I arrived to an empty apartment, an unfamiliar city, and absolutely no idea where to buy a decent sofa. Over time, friends and colleagues started asking me to help with their apartments — a living room here, a full flat there. It kept happening, and I kept loving it.
That's how Homelya was born.
Why I Built Homelya
I noticed the same problem everywhere: talented, busy people arriving in Switzerland with beautiful apartments and no time or energy to furnish them. Traditional interior designers felt expensive and intimidating. IKEA's planning service wasn't cutting it. And doing it alone meant endless weekends wandering through furniture stores, trying to make things match.
I wanted to create something different — a design service that feels personal but stays simple. Fully online, no awkward consultations, no huge invoices. Just good design, made for the way people actually live.
